To me, it seems like some of the things you're asking for are mutually exclusive. So, let's take them one at a time:
In post #782, you bemoan the fact that in the new version, the "idle-expired" action was taken just once and the "idle-countingdown" action was issued again immediately. My proposal was to disable idle watchdog checking until the OnWakeupWatchdog detected that the system had resumed from sleep. You don't appear to like this suggestion. So, here is my next try: After the first "idle-expired" action, I'll ensure that the "idle-expired" actions continue every minute until the OnWakeupWatchdog detects that the system has resumed. This should be close to the behavior of the old code that you cited. To my mind, either of these approaches address the issue you raised in post #782. The only difference is that, in the second method, multiple "idle-expired" actions may be executed, potentially ad infinitum. The danger with both these approaches is that, if the system is asleep for only a very brief time (or not at all) the OnWakeupWatchdog will never (approach 1:) re-enable the OnIdleWatchdog, or (approach 2:) reset the IsIdle countdown counter. Which method would you prefer? Both of them address post #782. Both have drawbacks. But pick one, please. Now, which post raises the next issue you'd like to see handled? -- gharris999 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
