The "Buffer" setting is amount data to be buffered in the player - it has no effect in AlienBBC and will not affect this problem.
The message indicates the ASX playlist returned by the BBC either has an error or the message has been truncated which happens with a timeout. The BBC radio1 URL works OK for me but I am outside the Uk so there may be an error but I doubt it as it would affect manby users. I am still inclined to believe a timeout has truncated the message. The problem may be recurring because SC caches message and so may be re-using the same truncated message.
