The log looks fine - no crazy floating point numbers anywhere.

There is no downside - it's just a mod to handle a quirk of the QNAPO
Linux port. Any idea what QNAP mean that they will get SSOTS modified -
is BBCiPlayer included in SSOTS ?

For UK listeners - there is a choice for Listen Again (both Flash as
transport) - AAC or MP3.

AAC needs to be transcoded for SB3, Boom, Transporters and in standard
SBS this is done by "faad". For pre 7.3.2 - transcoding could also be
done by mplayer and this will have a delay at startup. You can check by
loking at what is the WebUI Settings/Filetypes/AAC setting.

If you are in the UK and you disable AAC in the BBCiPlayer settings -
BBCiPlayer should send an MP3 stream direct to player - no transcoding
(i.e.no load on QNAP) and no delay.

Any previous remark I made about 10 secs delay were probably in the
context of mplayer for AlienBBC and playing RealAudio.
