1) Yes I use popup at least for On/Off and for all menu-items. Its just a feedback for me, that something is happening, I don't like pressing menu-buttons and getting the impression that nothing is happening.
2) Not me. I rarely use the amps volume, most of the time I only use on/off -- bluegaspode 1x SB-Controller+Receiver (Duet), 1xSB-Boom. 1xSB-Radio Server (7.4.1) running on SheevaPlug (Ubuntu) with attached Western Digital MyBook Essential.
