If it's the former, try the "reset to defaults" link on the SrvrPowerCtrl settings page and then set SrvrPowerCtrl's logging to "debug" under Settings->Advanced->Logging. If the latter, try a factory reset of your squeezebox and then set it up again. If that still doesn't work, make sure to check your network card settings under windows.
