...which exemplifies my original comment.  I think the Controller is
just too busy doing its regular stuff to fire the timer any quicker or
more accurately.  Timing-wise I think it is as good as it is going to
get which is why SqueezeIR does not use repeat codes.  Not using a timer
but instead running a loop and firing codes based on the system clock
was something I tried way back but it didn't work as it just locked the
Controller up.  Th only way round it (and I'm guessing) would be to port
SqueezeIR to c and run it as a seperate application rather than as an
applet in SqueezeOS.  I think you're just going to have to live with the
volume control changing slowly on your amp for now.  I will revisit the
code to do some more tests regarding this issue but I don't hold out
much hope.
