again, thanks so much for the help! you were right again, there was no folder specified under playlists. so i added one on the diskstation (a folder named "Playlists" under the "Music" folder). i then successfully saved a playlist (it saved as an .m3u file) , but it still doesn't show up under the 'playlists' section of iPeng. so close... i tried turning the squeezebox receiver on and off via the ipod and turning the ipod on and off (i seem to remember having an initial problem finding things). maybe i have to wait for the server to find and publish the information? don't really know how it all works in the background. should the saved playlist be showing up immediately?
