Thanks for all your efforts. All in all it is a great step forward in performance.
I tried CustomBrowse and did not find any bug which may have been introduced with the changes. The only thing I noticed is the following. When you enter CustomBrowse's menus (artist, album ...) in several menu levels there is the menu item "Play all". But when you select this item and click the Center button on the controller nothing happens. To play all you have to press the Play button. I don't know if this behaviour is on purpose and if it was already before the changes have been applied.
