I don't know if this is the right approach but I am trying things in the hope I stumble across something in the absence of a documented solution
The log error message is: [10-06-09 08:31:23.5314] main::init (400) Warning: Can't locate UUID/Tiny.pm in @INC this suggests to me, as the message says, the module either isn't there at all, or isn't in the search list So I performed a search for Tiny.PM using the FreeNAS file manager and it found the module in /mnt/freenasmount/Slimnas/squeebox/CPAN/UUID Now one of the included search directories (??) is /mnt/freenasmount/Slimnas/squeezebox/CPAN So I would have thought an attempt to load for UUID/Tiny.pm when squeezebox server starts would have located the module but it appears no. I next did a chmod on Tiny.pm to 777 and restarted the squeezebox server on FreeNAS no improvement I then reran chown -R freenasuid:freenasgrp Slimnas using putty When I ran ls -l and looked at the owner from Windows 7 File Manager the owner of all directories and files had been changed to freenasuid However, when I restarted the squeezebox server on Freenas, and I don't know if this is relevant, but it seems very suspicious to me, is the owner of all the squeezebox server directories except usr had been changed back to Unix user\www So .. the message says (I think) Perl cannot locate module Tiny.pm however it is in the directory search list. So I'm guessing the problem is some kind of permissions problem due to the owner to the folders being Unix user\www. That may be completely wrong and irrelevant but I have no idea what to do next and I am just trying things I vaguely know about. Any ideas anyone as I would really like to get squeezebox running on my FreeNAS server. The alternative would be to go for a supported server such as Ubuntu -- cliverlong ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cliverlong's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38534 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79395
