I tried again this morning when no scan was running and I still got 8 crashes in under 90 minutes (at irregular intervals and with no particular pattern that I could discern). I had iPeng set to keep the iPod awake so I could monitor it while working and I played music the whole time. After that I restarted the iPod and installed the very latest SBS 7.5.2 build (r31156), i.e. restarted SBS. Now iPeng has been up and running for almost an hour without crashes.
