The icecast or VLC solution can be used to convert a WAV source into a http audio stream but I think standard SBS only supports lossy formats such as MP3, OGG/Vorbis or AAC - you may have change some of the conf file to stream lossless formats.
For completeness, the WaveInput plugin can be modified to take any WAV/PCM source which could be another computer. An example would be the on the SBS plugin to use netcat to request a TCP connection to a remote computer and the incoming netcat connection would start a process on the remote computer to provide the WAV (or any format) stream. This require very little work as netcat is available for most platforms. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=81463 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
