Thank you for the input! I think I will start little reasearch with VLC. I love it for watching videos so why not using it for other purposes, too. The wiki/manuals i saw seem to be quite simple. (with icecast etc. one always need a player and a streaming server seperately. Seems that VLC has this merged already.)
btw: losslesness doesn't matter for my use case.
