If you don't want to go into the configuration screen (easy to do by holding the back+home hotkey combination) then I would set the default profile to the dummy one so that the Controller works as normal when browsing the music library and create a menu that is linked to your universal-remote profile. When you are in the menu the universal-remote profile is in effect when you aren't the Controller behaves as normal.
