Hi Triode.
Your work will probably be the deciding factor to persuade me to part
with some cash! However, I've not bought a Squeezebox (yet).
I've been streaming R3 HD through Windows using my own app. using the
Flash ocx but arranged so it runs as a tray icon (because if it is a
browser window I close it by mistake.)
I have suffered with odd glitches as well (just like streaming it in
IE.) It's annoying because this stream has made Radio 3 into a good
listen again.
I've added some logging so I can see what is happening. This is mainly
from the iPlayer debug output. Typical extract from a recent 2 second

This one looks like it ran of of data from akamai. I've also had it
stop with the buffer filling up and no error messages, and some short
glitches with a few associated status messages that may be the result
of some housekeeping in the action script in the BBC swf.
If you would like a copy of the app for your own testing purposes, send
me an email and I'll get it to you. If I find anything that might be
useful I'll post it here, but at the moment I'm just a bit puzzled by
it all.
