An update on this for those that are interested. Tried the 1.1.0 & 1.1.1 plugins on the above setup but couldn't crack it despite Triode's efforts and a number of eMail exchanges - thanks Triode. I decided to do a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.10 X86_64 server and try v1.1.1, again it bombed after a few hours use. Thankfully Triode released v1.2.0, I grabbed this, installed and that seems to have done the trick - been running for around a week now without a hitch, so going to cancel my Napster sub now.
