With the SB3, the computer needs to be switched on so it's using the SBS and Triodes daemon which "proxies" and transcodes the stream for the device. (You cannot stream directly to the device, like with the newer Touch. The firmware will never support it.) You should find a "Spotify" menu item under the top-level "Internet Radio" menu-item on the SB3.
