I definitely want to fix this, since JRMC/Whitebear/SC is a very
frequent software combination.

My hypothesis is that JRMC can't understand (or mis-interprets)
Whitebear's SinkProtocolInfo data. In the current web release of
Whitebear, it declares "audio/mpeg" quite high up on its list of
supported music types, whereas "audio/x-flac" is declared further down
the list. So perhaps JRMC is choosing the first matching format that it
finds at the top of Whitebear's list, rather than checking the whole
list to find a match having the best audio quality. Therefore I will
make a new (test) release of Whitebear that declares its supported
lossless formats at the top of its list; and I would ask if you can
kindly test it for me. Also in this test version I will add the
informal "audio/flac" audio type variant in addition to the formal
"audio/x-flac" type variant, just in case JRMC is looking for the wrong
one...

I will send you a PM on this forum with a link where you could download
this new test version.
