"connecting" to it as a DLNA library via File | Library | Connect to
Library.. or are you 2) "importing" it as a file library via File |
Library | Import.. -- you should be doing 1).

Also, can you confirm that you are using the command "Play
(<playername> (by Whitebear))" to start playing the file?

If both of the above apply, then JRMC is basically telling
SqueezeCenter to play one of its own files to one of its own players.
And in this case SqueezeCenter should use whatever stream format you
have set up as the preferred streaming format in SqueezeCenter's
settings.

Please tell me what is the url of music file in question as it appears
in JRMC's files view. If it is a native Whitebear url, it should look
something like this: http://0.0.0.0:0/tid_0/src_X/tgt_X/pid_0/music.X
(where "0" and "X" are placeholders for numerals and letters
respectively). If it is not such a native Whitebear url, then it is
probably something that JRMC is providing; and this would indicate that
JRMC might also be attempting to trancode from Flac to Mp3.

Try out Whitebear. The middleware that joins the two worlds of:
1. UPnP/DLNA media clients and media players, and,
2. Squeezebox Server and Squeeze Players
Download it for free here: http://www.whitebear.ch/mediaserver
