I have SBS and MusicIP (server/headless?) with Spicefly Sugarcube running nicely on an Ubuntu 10.10 system that has been continuously updated since 10.10. For several reasons unrelated to my music setup, I need to upgrade the HDD and reinstall the OS. I was wondering if there are any tips from experienced users, before I start the process.
Most of the MusicIP analysis has been archived into the file tags (the tracks themselves are on an external portable NTFS drive), but some tracks (several hundreds actually, which is why I don't want to redo the process if possible) e.g. tracks over 10 mins which for some reason weren't analyzed by MusicIP mixer on MacOS or Windows, or tracks whose names had non standard characters (subsequently cleaned up with the 'detox' utility) appears to have been analyzed here on the Ubuntu system. Where is this analysis stored? Can it be transferred to a new install? Can it be moved to Mac/Win as well? Can it be incorporated into the tags as with MIP Mixer on Mac/Win?
