I have a Duet too and managed to install Spotify plugin successfully. Everything works fine. The only difference with you is that I have a DS210J! According to this http://forum.synology.com/wiki/index.php/What_kind_of_CPU_does_my_NAS_have your NAS machine is a Freescale mpc8533 PPC Processor.
