ISTR that for incoming PCM, 16 bits is hard-coded, ignoring the sampleSize sent by SBS. Flac is a can of worms in as much as the jflac decoder throws a wobbly as it cannot decode RICE2, the 5 bit entropy format used by most > 16 bit streams. (I also STR that the output format is hard-coded to 16/44.1.) Most computer audio hardware does not support 24 bits directly so the stream needs to be output to the hardware at 32 bit (if supported) or down converted to 16 bit, if not. -- JackOfAll ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JackOfAll's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3069 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62060 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
