With apologies if you don't necessarily like the musical content, but this is a good test track for comparison purposes. Search for the soundtrack album by Paul Williams, "Bugsy Malone". Track 8 - "Ordinary Fool". It is available as a 320k VBR track so that's what you should be getting if you have selected the "High Quality" setting. It should be obvious, the difference in volume for a start. The track is very close to 89db peaks. It should be twice as loud with the volume normalization applied and therefore totally obvious that the volume normalization is applied.
