I was quite excited to see the application as I have been trying to solve a problem I have presenting media to my XBOX 360.
All my media is on a Windows 2003 server. On my Windows Vista desktop I have mapped drives to the folders where I store my mp3 files, I then configured Windows Media Player 11 and setup the watched folders to point to the mapped drive, all fine and the library is populated. However when setting up media sharing the XBOX 360 can't see the media thats on the mapped drive. I've tried all sorts in trying to get around this issue without success. So I was excited to see the app and that the latest version had been tweaked to improve support with XBOX 360. However after setting up Whitebear media server on my Windows 2003 server (where my Squeezebox Server 7.5.3 lives) I went to my XBOX 306 to try and search for the media server and was disappointed to see it not find any media servers. I can see the media server when browsing the network on my Vista desktop (although as you noted I can't view the media in wmp11, can't properly test). I see in a previous post you mentioned that XBOX 360 is very particular about what it communicates with, do you have any suggestions in things I could try to get this working? -- claytob ------------------------------------------------------------------------ claytob's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=45096 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80632 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
