I too have tried and failed to get whitebear working on Windows 2003
(Small Business Server in my case). Like you I can see the DNLA server
when browsing the network from a Vista machine but I can'y see any of
the music.  I have had success in the past with TVersity (although I
don't like it) so it must be possible to run a uPNP server on 2003.  I
even managed to install WMP11 on 2003 and that worked too (but was
rather unstable).  I hear that SBS7.6 will have native uPNP/DNLA
support so hopefully that will get things going.
