It's been forever since I've been here on this forum. I've happily migrated up to the newest versions and added a boom and all kinds of happy stuff. But now, I'm seeking the collective wisdom of the forum...
I've added a Synology Disk Station and I'm looking to migrate my music and squeezecenter down to that and finally shut off my desktop when not in use. The only glitch is losing MIP support on the Synology. I don't need MIP 100% of the time. I'm wondering if there is a way to keep MIP on my desktop and have Squeezecenter look for it on a different IP address? You can specify port, why not specify IP too? It's just parsing an html screen for it's data, so shouldn't be an issue, right? Can I trick the Synology to redirect calls for that port to a different IP? Or does squeezecenter need to add that functionality directly? Would love any suggestions.
