Thanks, Erland, but unfortunately I'm running the server on a ReadyNAS
Duo so I don't think I can do any transcoding on that. I did notice in
the documentation that changes were made so it 'compiles cleanly' on
ARM.

I would say that Apple is interested in the overall prosperity of its
iTunes/iOS ecosystem as the main goal. Note that they have already
licensed Airplay on Pioneer receivers and B&W speaker docks. I think as
long as you use iTunes and have some kind of iDevice/Mac they have
succeeded with their business interests.

I offer a $25 bounty to the first person that does a SB Touch plug-in
with Shairport! :)
