Hi gharris, some more information here: gharris999;630721 Wrote: > First of all, I would be surprised if squeezeboxserver is running as > root. Did you install squeezeboxserver from the rpm? "id squeezeboxserver" produces this output: uid=416(squeezeboxserver) gid=415(squeezeboxserver) groups=415(squeezeboxserver) so I guess there IS a user named 'squeezeboxserver'. > Is it just shutdown that you can't do from the SBClassic? Does > hibernation work? I've reset all SrvrPowerCtrl settings but I did not yet run the Redhat setup script or fiddle with sudoers file. However, it might be interesting to know that hibernation as well as suspending the server from the SBclassic works. Shutdown still doesn't. I have the feeling that it is somehow related to pm-utils vs. shutdown command and/or the menu of the SBclassic. On pressing right on Hibernate Server or Suspend Server, SBclassic displays "Hibernating/Suspending Server in 15 sec". With the Shutdown Server menu item no such thing happens (other than adding a "Could not find action item # 0" to the server log). Interestingly, if I give the shutdown command via the webinterface, the SBclassic displays "Shutting down server in 15 sec". I cannot cancel shutdown with the IR remote, BTW. One more thing: I have checked "Include ‘Reboot Server’ as a menu option?" but this option is not available on the SBclassic nor in the webinterface. I'll have a look at the setup scripts and the sudoers file in the weekend and report back if find out more.
