Shutdown/Hibernate/Suspend to mysqueezebox.com "pushes" your player onto mysqueezebox.com just before the shutdown/hibernation/suspend happens. The shutdown/hibernation/suspend itself isn't any different. It gives your player a "home" on mysqueezebox.com while the local server is asleep. The two ways in which this feature appeals to most people are 1). with older IP3K players, the clock can continue to display, and 2). with the SBTouch, having it connected to mysqueezebox.com helps to prevent spurious WOL wake-ups of the local server.

Then, in the "Alternate server for players" drop-down list on the SrvrPowerCtrl settings page "Groovy Touch (SD Card)" will show up as an available alternate server. If you select that as the alt server, then all the SrvrPowerCtrl menu choices switch from "Hibernate to mysqueezebox.com" to "Hibernate to Groovy Touch (SD Card)", etc. and those become the choices for the available actions for on-idle, eod, etc. Again, the rationale for this is the same as in the case above. Except that this will work for the same purposes even if you don't have an internet connection, or if you just prefer to not use up bandwidth. -- gharris999 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
