> Triode. I have followed your
suggestion and went into my Norton Firewall settings (Windows firewall
not being used) and "spotifyd.exe" was set as "Auto", which is the
setting that all other working applications have, but I changed it to
ALLOW anyways.

I then tried to play Spotify, and again, the song DOES play (you can
see the little time bar showing the progress of the song), but no sound
is coming out.

So I proceeded to uninstall and reinstall SqueezeBox Server and do
everything from scratch, and same results: spotify plays but without
sound. I also noticed there is a checkbox in the settings for the
plugin that says "Always Stream Via Helper". By default it was
unchecked. I checked it and sadly still no sound, so I went again and
return to the original setting (unchecked).

I feel like the solution is so close like I can almost taste it, and
being able to see the player executing the song without sound makes it
even more frustrating.

Is there anything else I should be trying?
