Love your app! I've tried to get Remote Access to work, with no success. I did the following: 1) Gave my Windows 7 PC a fixed address at the end of the range auto-assigned by my router (192.168.1.200) 2) On my Linksys Router, under Single Port Forwarding, added entries for appname Squeezebox, external port 9000, internal port 9000, forward to 192.168.1.200, and appname Squeezebox2, external port 3483, internal port 3483, fwd to 192.168.1.200, both for TCP. The router required that I give appnames and that they be unique. 3) Signed up with dyndns.org and got name wahhab.is-a-geek.com 4) On Linksys Router, set username and password to my Squeezebox Server, with hostname wahhab.is-a-geek.com and www.DynDNS.org as DDNS service. It reports DDNS ready. 5) Checked for port 9000 being open from dyndns.org, and verified address being forwarded to, all OK
When I attempt to change my music source on my iPad to wahhab.is-a-geek.com, I get "Your player was not found". I deleted that name, re-added it as http://wahhab.is-a-geek.com:9000, it still shows up as wahhab.is-a-geek.com and still no joy. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
