I would like a few people to try a beta version of version 2.0.0 of this
plugin.
The new version has significant internal changes to make better use of
the new features of 7.6 it also adds several new features:
- new context menus specific to the spotify plugin
- spotify playlist editing (via the context menu ability to add
tracks or all tracks in an album to a an existing playlist or create a
new playlist with them)
- local spotify library ability to store artists/albums/tracks in a
local library menu which allows bookmarking and browsing of favourite
entries this is an experiment, interested in feedback on it
- spotify inbox added playlist menu
- browse playlists of friends from with the playlist menu those
people marked as people in the PC spotify application (you need to add
friends on the PC app as there is no api to do this)
- simplified search menu which allows searching for any
tracks/albums/artists or pasting in spotify uris into a single search
menu item
The new version should work with 7.6 and 7.5 releases of squeezebox
server.
As these changes are quite significant I would like a few users to try
out the beta version and report issues here before making it the
default release. To do so, please add by test repository (below) to
your plugin repositories, this should add version 2.0.0beta1 to the
available plugins and allow you to automatically update to if if you
have the previous version installed.
