Just for information, a new version of the Custom Clock Helper plugin
and Custom Clock applet has now also been released and it will require
a license, as usual you can see more details in the following thread
regarding how the licensing scheme works:

Some online styles for Custom Clock is going to continue to be free and
also the graphical items provided by the Super Date Time and Song Info
plugins. But all customization through Custom Clock Helper are and
often also one or several graphical elements in the online styles will
require a license.
