Hi again, I finally found the time to install the Meteo plugin on my NAS as well. It's a Synology DS508. Synology actually offers SqueezeboxServer packages for installation but they don't keep it very well up to date. I think the current version is still at 7.3.3. When the Meteo plugin stopped working, I switched to the SSODS, thinking I could maybe fix the problem by updating SqueezeboxServer. Unfortunatley, the DS508 has a PowerPC processor and the SSODS project has stopped supporting this architecture. The last SqueezeboxServer version to run on the SSODS/DS508 is 7.5.1 (...which is still newer than 7.3.3 ;-) ) but the update did not help. Anyway, I have now copied the Meteo 2.7.3 onto my NAS with SSODS and SqueezeboxServer 7.5.1 and it works BEAUTIFULLY there too. I am delighted :-) ! It seems you did a thorough job ! Thanks again!
Once I am stealing your time again (sorry about it), I have two more minor things: 1) Is it right that the weather forecast is available in the 'EXTRA' menu on the Boom, Duet and Squeezebox 3 but not on the Touch ? (....or is there something one could configure?) ? 2) While I was trying the Meteo plugin with SqueezeboxServer 7.7.0 (r33563), I noticed that there was a problem with the library scan. There were errors in the logs and - more important - after the scan had ended, e.g. albums titles and artists were listed but I could not browse trough my Music directory - it was 'Empty'. Just in case you haven't noticed yet. Best regards, J:)rg PS: Meteo/cached information -> you mentioned it could take an hour. On my system an hour is not enough, rather a night (and this is consistent). Mabye it is reloaded the next time the website is updated ? But not that it would matter :-)... -- Jürg Huder ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jürg Huder's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40318 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90757
