Not sure if this is the same issue, but I'm seeing problems with unpowered (battery) local playback of long tracks where the playback will cease shortly after the screen display fully dims / device locks (>10 mins). Doesn't happen when the device is powered (which in turn causes the the lock / dim not to trigger during music playback). Not 100% sure that this didn't happen under iOS 4.x but it's certainly happening now.
