Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it.
Unfortunately it's a bit too late to change the model itself at this
stage, but let me know if you have any further suggestions that would
be realistic to apply at this stage without me having to do a lot of
development or completely changing the payment model.

I'm fairly sure nobody within Logitech who have enough management power
read forum threads with titles related to third party plugins.
Basically, I believe the only people within Logitech reading this forum
are the developers and I think they are mostly focused at reading the
"beta" section of the forum.
However, we have more or less asked for this since 2004 when
'enhancement 142' (bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=142) was
registered and back then even the CEO at Slim Devices read the forum,
so unfortunately it's quite obvious that ratings, statistics and smart
playlists aren't a priority for Logitech. I created my plugins back in
2006 as a way to demonstrate the possibilities and I offered to help
them include it for free in the core product, but not even that seem to
have made Logitech realize it's needed as core functionality, I would be
very happy if this changes but at the moment I'm not too optimistic
about it.
