Ok, the only way to get tags into customscan_contributor_attributes
is:
- Through LastFM scanning module bundled with Custom Scan, which will
import LastFM tags and LastFM similar artist list.
- By develop your own scanning module which can be plugged into Custom
Scan
So unless you know perl or want to learn perl, there is no easy way to
get information into customscan_contributor_attributes at the moment.
I once had an idea to create a "Categorize" plugin which made it
possible to add various type of categorizing information through
SBS/Squeezebox interfaces, my idea was to make it possible to tag
artists, albums in similar way as you can tag things on LastFM, Flickr
and similar sites. I never did anything regarding it because it felt a
bit similar to what we already can have in standard GENRE tags, but
maybe it would be useful to have something like this to cover user
scenarios like what you describe here. It would be possible to have
tags like "Rating 5", "Rating 4", "Rating 3", "Rating 2", "Rating 1"
and making it possible to assign these to artists or albums.
