Sorry that I don't fully understand what does and does not work on which device.
There are four gotchas about re-enabling iPeng playback: * Use the same iTunes account as for the original purchase * Use "Settings->Enable Playback" and here the "Restore previous purchase" button at the bottom of the page (the green one) * It needs to be the same App, so you can only restore playback for the iPad version in the iPad version and for the iPhone on in the iPhone one.
