I wrote the plugin and ecasound conf file is not the standard conf file to be used with WaveInput. The eca conf file was added as an example of a different conf file for some user who had some buffering issues. I forgot to update the conf file changing adding PCM and changing WAV. The custom-convert.conf file that ships with the plugin which uses arecord has been updated with PCM and WAV changes. I presumed the user using Shairplay is using 7.4.
