Cheers gharris999, the headless desktop that I'm running it on was a 2nd hand Compac and given to me, so not sure exactly how old it is, but my guess would be at least 5 years old at the very least.
Will give the ethtool a go to confirm. Food for thought on the kit that you've listed.
