The tricky bit with Fedora is that, for whatever reason, you can't count on your NIC devices being named eth0, eth1, etc. While vortex box may have reverted the names, on a stock Fedora 17 system a motherboard embedded NIC will be named em0, em1, etc. See: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/ConsistentNetworkDeviceNaming
On my 2011 mac-mini running Fedora 16, the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcog-eth0 file doesn't contain the 'ETHTOOL_OPTS="wol g"' line. I know that in earlier versions of Fedora I used to put that info in, but I'm not sure Fedora 15 and later need it. Probably no harm in including it, though. @epoch1970: you've got my vote for an entry in -The Annals of Counter-Intuitive Engineering- for your method of turning on a PC by cutting off the power! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96158 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
