OK I've tried this and it works much better. In non native mode iPeng is fine just playing from the same folder view day after day, often playing the next track in an album I'm part way through. The only time the nightly rescans upset this mode is if new music has appeared, and that would have gone wrong on a manual rescan anyway. So can native mode be fixed to work as reliable as non native?
