More or less: yes. It's because the ReadyNAS doesn't have enough power for the mp3 encoding needed for bitrate limiting.
You have two options: turn off bitrate limiting (in the player settings for the "iPeng" player) or try to use "shine" on the ReadyNAS instead of lame.
