Have had the same problem for over a year, this only happens to the 3'rd party spotify plugin. It's very quick and responsive in the beginning but after jumping around in a number of playlists Ipeng seems to almost freeze. It can hang for about 15-30 sec before it starts playing again. I have the latest Ipeng-version on my Iphone 4S (iOS 6), a 40/40 mbit fibre cable internet connection and no other traffic on my local network. The only way to fix this is to shut down Ipeng and hopefully it will start playing again, if not I also have to restart my computer that runs Squeezebox server (It's an almost new Asus x53S laptop) with 6 gig ram.
