"Streaming to player" fails with the message I posted before. A software player on the server machine works fine. But before you discard this as a simple network issue, please consider the following: 1) My network setup has not changed. It still works well for everything else, including streaming hd video. 2) The trouble started after a series of software updates. I updated Ubuntu, LMS and the spotify plugin in quick succession (sadly, I do not know after which step the problems started to manifest) 3) verdemar reported a very similar, if not the same issue. For him, a change of distribution fixed it. For me this hints at it may have to do with newer Ubuntu versions or library versions included therein.
