In many cases the comments came before we had any commercial plugins, so
I think it was more related to that they felt that there was bigger
chance that Logitech would provide long term support than that a third
party developer would do it. 

However, I can agree that I got a few more comments in this direction
after I started to charge for some of my plugins and a big reason that I
plan to stick around also in the future is the fact that I get some
economical compensation for my third party plugins these days. The
situation would probably be very different if my plugins would be free,
then I would probably have stopped supporting them a year ago or
something similar. So I guess the second lesson is that there ain't no
such thing as a free lunch, in one way or another you are going to pay
for it in the end.
