I guess, on this one, there is no right or wrong. You look from the
developer/company side of view, I look from the customer side. And
Logitech was in the past not really too concerned about loosing
reputation, if you look how they treat their SB customer base

This is exactly what they will be doing: Shutting it down asap based on
economical assessment, meaning as soon as they do not have to fear
waranty claims....

I am a semiconductor engineer - so there is eng. knowledge, but
semiconductors are quite a different field of knowledge... let's see
where I get.....

Again, thank you so much for your offer! To start w/ 1 dumb question:
Where is the developer section of the forum? I don't see that headline
anywhere.
Also, can you lead me to some starting information (on creating an easy
plugin and some 1st steps for pearl)? I checked the Wiki, but it stated
that the plugin information is outdated for the current LMS Versions.
