Hi Jezbo, I did copy the database to my local HDD, and the database opened just fine. My suspicions goes in the direction of folder or file access rights issues on my Linux Server, but since I am definitely not a Linux geek, I must admit that I feel very uncertain as to how to deal with and manage access rights. Generally, I use WinSCP to access my Linux NAS, and I have used it to modify the access rights recusively for the folder where the database and all its support files resides. I chose to give 'Everyone' full control, more specifically: Permissions are organized according to : Owner: R,W,X Group: R,W,X Other: R,W,X Octal: 0777 (I do not understand what Octal means) Then there are three check boxes named : Set UID, Set GID and Sticky Bit (I do not understand what these three means, but they were unchecked, and I left them unchekced) The Owner and Group setting were both ; ssods [502] and I changed Group to ; administrators [0] thinking that since I do log on as administrator, it would make sense. But regretfully, none of this has helped me in any way. Hope you can...
