I wanted to let you know that I just release version 1.1.0 of the Smart
Mix plugin. Among a few bug fixes and improvements to protect our tight
query rate there are a few major enhancements:
- Add a "Recommendation" preset for users with an online music
service subscription: this mix will play track you might like but
don't own yet, based on your collection. You can control its
"adventurousness", eg. the ratio between known and new music, using
the new Smart Mix Options menu.
- Make mixer control menu available from the Smart Mix menu as well
as Now Playing context menu
- Give access to mixing parameters like danceability, hotttnesss etc.
on the fly while playing
- Allow saving of the current mix as a new recipe
- Fix memory consumption issue during metadata export
- Add smartmix://... protocolhandler to allow using mixes in alarms
and favorites
- Make post-scan cleanup a manual step - it's too expensive on
queries to run regularly
mikk64 - I strongly recommend you update to this version before you run
any re-scan. It includes a fix for a memory consumption issue which
might have been causing the incomplete exports you've seen.
