As soon as the Smartmix plugin is installed clicking on either seperate
scan button seems to initiate a full re-scan of both media folders,
adding a good 10 minutes to the scan times.
Are you sure it's running a _full_ rescan? What leads you to thinking so?
Smartmix itself will add a bit to the scanning duration. 10 Minutes seems
a bit much to me, but it's not reason enough to think a full wipe & rescan
was run.
Can you provide a full scanner.log file?
