You're right - I misread your log and just assumed the running mySQL
server would be used for LMS, when it actually isn't - sorry.
This is some kind of Synology / QNAP hardware? Have you tried disabling
all services you don't use (like maybe mySQL) ? Maybe it runs out of
memory and starts swapping?
Anyway, you might want to give today's version another try - it now
reads somewhat less data from the server at startup (instead doing it
later on demand), maybe this could improve your situation.
If this doesn't help, I don't think there's a lot I can do to improve
the performance of the plugin regarding the resource demands for the
server.
